Graduate Surveyor – Valuation

CCO Group have been retained by a leading regional property practice to assist in their search for a graduate surveyor to join their rapidly growing valuation team. Reporting to the head of valuation you will be working closely with this person, learning from some of the best surveyors in the market.

This is a highly respected specialist firm who’s clients mainly consist of Banks, Pension Funds, Private individuals and Litigation. Our client has a great company culture as well as a team orientated approach which gives you the best opportunity to develop your skill-set and career. Our client is keen on organic growth and has helped 3 graduate surveyors over the past year become qualified with a 100% pass rate success.

Our clients team currently consists of 9 valuers and 2 building surveyors which they have plans to rapidly increase. You will be based out of their Bristol head office but will be required to travel to the South/South West of England and South Wales. You have great opportunity to learn from some highly regarded and experienced individuals within the business, the average fee billed is around £1000 with some of their best billers billing in excess of £200,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the valuation of commercial and residential property
  • Maintain and develop existing client relationships, and promote new business connections and sources, and report to your Head of Department all potential new sources of professional and other work.
  • Keep up to date with any changes or proposed changes in legislation, Codes of Practice or Directives pertinent to your work
  • Attend meetings and record minutes as and when requested.
  • Provide statistical and other information as and when requested.

What you need:

  • Basic level of technical knowledge from degree.
  • IT literate, with an ability to use IT as a tool to support work, through effective use of databases, websites and inhouse templates.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, ensures activities and tasks are handled correctly and completed on time.
  • Able and willing to travel to site inspections and client meetings
  • Written and verbal communication – high standard of English.
  • Resilience – work through mistakes, handle rejection, challenges or ambiguity
