CCO is recruiting on behalf of a leading Fit Out Package Contractor operating in the Commercial & Residential markets in London. This company undertake a range of interior works incorporating multiple trades including drywall, ceilings, partitioning and joinery. They work with Tier 1 Main Contractors with projects typically ranging from £500k to £10m in value. Our client is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years’ experience with Drywall/Drylining packages to join their team. This role will be based in Central London on a current live project, once completed you will then move onto a new project which will subsequently commence, the role will be split between site, office and remote working.
About the role:
As the Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting directly into a Commercial Manager and you will be responsible for all commercial activities on the project from conception to final account. You must be self-sufficient and have experience of running your own projects, the value of the packages is £5m so experience managing packages around these figures is desirable.
- Working with the Commercial Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the scheme
- Implementing agreed commercial strategies
- Attending Estimator handover
- Undertaking tender costing analysis / procurement schedules
- Monthly CVR reporting
- Applications for payment
- Cashflow management / forecasts
- Identifying / pricing / negotiating variations
- Contributing to the maintaining of company accreditations
- Material requisitions to the Buying department
- Placement of Sub-Contract Orders
- Sub-Contractor valuations / Payment Notices
- Final Account agreements
- Site visits regularly
Requirements + Salary:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or minimum HND.
- You must hold a relevant and up to date CSCS card and have proficient Health & Safety knowledge.
- Computer literate with excellent attention to detail
- Strong Commercial awareness.
- Minimum 5 years’ surveying experience with Drywall/Drylining packages is essential.
- Salary offered is competitive and will be dependent on experience and capability, the package will include car allowance, health care, pension and a discretionary bonus scheme.
