Surveyor – Associate Director (Property Management – Industrial)

CCO Group have been retained by an International Property Consultancy in order to assist in their search for a Commercial Property Manager to join their rapidly growing team in Birmingham. This role will be working on an individual account, an extremely prestigious UK wide industrial portfolio, that our client has been representing for 13+ years. This role will be focussed around industrial assets giving you the opportunity to become an industrial specialist in the near future , which is a very sought of asset with high levels of investment meaning there will be great scope for progression and growth within the industry in the years to come.  The portion of portfolio you will be managing consists of 75 service charge properties, 1350 occupiers with assets up to 100000 sq ft.

This role is a great opportunity to grow your skill-set. You will be working with a core team of 5 within one director and 4 Associate Directors meaning there is some really experienced surveyors you can learn from who will help improve your skill-set and grow your career. Our client has a great team-orientated approach and offers the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week making it an ideal working environment.


  • The main purpose of the role to be the day to day contact for a high profile client who requires a premium level service
  • Preparing client reports on the property management service and regular formal reporting procedures to clients
  • Support and assist clients in connection with value enhancement opportunities including rent reviews, letting and lease renewal programmes and alternative uses
  • Dealing with tenant applications for consent to assign, sublet and alter premises
  • Liaising with building managers and our FM team on day-to-day maintenance, repair and operational issues.
  • Preparation and administration of service charge expenditure
  • Overseeing the provision of common services to properties and tenants
  • Supervising, directing and maintaining up to date records for site based staff
  • Liaising with clients’ agents, solicitors and other consultants

What You Need:

  • MRICS Qualified (Ideal, not essential)
  • Ideally 3 years’ PQE within managing commercial properties
  • Experience managing industrial assets (ideal not essential)
  • Experience within a professional services environment and working with blue-chip companies
  • Team player
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage and initiate projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
